What do you put in your kids lunchboxes?  If you work do you pack a lunchbox for yourself?

When packing a lunchbox I try to think of:

  • a protein (today was sausage left over from last night, tomorrow is a hard-boiled egg that we cooked up last night and are in the fridge ready to go),
  • vegetables (last night I cut up some carrot shapes and some broccoli florets to get us through the first few days of the week),
  • a bit of fruit,
  • some nibbles such as those we have prepared for the week below,
  • some wholegrains and
  • good fats (such as the avocado on the homemade bread they have today)
  • and a water bottle.

We love getting some things prepared in the weekend, setting us up for most of the week ahead.  This weekend we have prepared:
