Meet Bronwyn

Kia ora, hello – my name is Bronwyn Hudson and I’m passionate about connecting the dots between food and mood: how what we eat and how we feel affect each other.

It’s a journey I’ve been on for more than 20 years – guided by my lived experiences and the real world challenges people face relating to health, finding balance in this busy world and adopting change.

Let’s start at the beginning though shall we.

Winding it back to the early 2000’s and my fiancé’s rugby career came to an abrupt end with a diagnosis of post-viral overtraining syndrome. I dived head first into the world of nutrition and lifestyle medicine at this point. I wanted to learn everything and anything I could to support his recovery.

In the years that followed we got married and had four beautiful children. Like any other parent can no doubt attest to – change is a constant and chaos is a melody when it comes to family life.

That’s certainly been true for us and our health anyway. Between the six of us we’ve dealt with serious allergies and less serious sensitivities, fertility challenges and pregnancy loss, rare auto-immune conditions, depression, anxiety and acute mental distress.

Given this, and the fact I am a real science geek, it really is no surprise that my career journeyed into nutritional therapy, functional medicine and lifestyle medicine. From here I formalised my learning with a Masters of Science (Personalised Nutrition), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and health coaching certifications and more, before focusing on my fifth baby – starting my own clinical practice.

As a clinician, my professional mission is to help people connect the dots between how what they eat and how they feel affects each other. To do this I translate cutting edge science into sensible, sustainable and results focused advice, so we can all enjoy more calm and balance.

More years passed and I navigated some big life moments with my whānau (family) including multiple international relocations, recovery from a serious injury while dealing with ongoing pain, my own anxiety and panic attacks, and supporting my husband through mental health challenges, acute mental distress and chronic fatigue syndrome.

I also studied some more (including a focus on mental health coaching and acceptance and commitment therapy), did some academic lecturing of my own, put in the mahi (work) and through it all, found my passion for walking alongside people and helping them create meaningful change in how they feel.

Today, I am committed to living an authentic life full of fun and love with honesty and integrity, striving to be the best version of myself so I can positively impact and inspire others to do the same.

I can’t wait for you to join me.
